Dash Cam Recorder

To activate the Dash Cam:
1) On the vehicle Home screen, tap All Settings > Vehicle > Dash Cam Settings
2) Turn on all features for full functionality (or desired features only)
3) Once activated, clients can download the INFINITI Dash Cam Recorder app from Play Store or App Store
 

To access the Dash Cam:
1) Touch the menu symbol on the Launch Bar to display the apps menu
2) Touch “Dash Cam” key to display the driving recorder screen

What You’ll Need:
• MyINFINITI app (latest version) 
• Premium INFINITI InTouch Connected Services subscription tier (a 3-year trial is included in the subscription)
• Compatible INFINITI model (2021 or newer) 
• Adequate vehicle battery charge 
• Sufficient cellular signal at vehicle location
 

What You’ll Do:
1. Launch the MyINFINITI app
2. Sign in and select your vehicle
3. Tap "Remote Photos" or "Vehicle Camera" feature
4. Select desired camera view (exterior or interior)
5. Tap "Request Photos" button
6. Wait 1-2 minutes for processing
7. View notification when photos are ready

You can download the INFINITI Dash Cam Recorder app from the Apple App store or Google Play.

The INFINITI Dash Cam Recorder app gives INFINITI users full access to the photos and videos from their vehicle’s storage system, including image and video viewing, retrieval and download. In the event of a collision or crash, you may be able to use the app to share images and videos for insurance purposes or police reports; however, local rules and restrictions may apply. Users may also use the app to download and share images with family or friends. Note: Not every impact will trigger the vehicle’s sensors and as a result, may not activate some or all of the vehicle’s cameras.

- From your vehicle’s center touchscreen display, reset all INFINITI Dash Cam Recorder settings to “Default.” 
- Using the default Vehicle Network Name and Password, follow the initial setup process again to gain access to the INFINITI Dash Cam Recorder app.

No, an INFINITI InTouch Services subscription is not required to activate the INFINITI Dash Cam Recorder app with your vehicle. However, if you wish to have access to the security and remote photo features through your MyINFINITI app, an INFINITI InTouch Services Subscription is required.

Photos and videos are accessible in your INFINITI Dash Cam Recorder until the SD card is filled to capacity. The SD card will then begin to replace old images, starting with the oldest first, with new captures from the Dash Cam Recorder.

Please only use the INFINITI Dash Cam Recorder app when parked and in a safe location. When you download images from your INFINITI Dash Cam Recorder app, they will be saved to your mobile device. Images are only accessible for download while you are in the vehicle, and your vehicle’s ignition must be turned on or in “accessory mode” to complete the retrieval.

Images captured by your INFINITI Dash Cam Recorder will stay with the vehicle if not erased prior to sale. Please be sure to delete any photos or videos that remain on the vehicle prior to selling or otherwise transferring ownership of your vehicle to someone else.

Storage capabilities are dependent on your Dash Cam Recorder’s SD card. While INFINITI vehicles come equipped with an SD card, this can be replaced by users if they would like more storage capabilities. The number of images that can be stored are also dependent on the volume and length of videos recorded to the SD card.

Your vehicle’s SD card serves as the memory for the INFINTI Dash Cam Recorder. This can be replaced with a larger SD card for more storage capacity.

Once your vehicle’s SD memory card is full, it will begin to erase the oldest images on file to replace them with new image captures. To avoid this, be sure to download images you would like to save to your mobile device.

You can access the camera setting from the vehicle’s touchscreen display.

Remote photos and remote security photos are only available for trims equipped with a dash camera, such as the QX80 SPORT and QX80 AUTOGRAPH. 
 

Remote photos allow the customer to use both the in-car camera and the dash cam to take pictures from inside the vehicle via MyINFINITI app. Remote security photos are automatically captured by the cameras if an incident occurs with the vehicle.

The Dash Cam Recorder allows owners to record and monitor what is happening at the front and rear of the vehicle. The in-car camera is only available on QX80 Autograph and allows owners to view and record what's happening inside the vehicle.

You can disconnect from your vehicle’s Wi-Fi network in your mobile device settings by selecting your preferred Wi-Fi network to reconnect to a non-vehicle internet source. The INFINITI Dash Cam Recorder app will automatically disconnect when your smartphone is moved outside of the vehicle.

Navigate to “Dash Cam Recorder settings” on your vehicle’s touchscreen display to access on/off controls.

Your INFINITI in-vehicle network can connect to up to four individual devices, but only one user can access the INFINTI Dash Cam Recorder app at a time.
