Over-the-Air Updates

Option 1: Home Wi-Fi

Easily connect your vehicle to your secure home Wi-Fi network to download Over-the-Air updates. Just ensure your vehicle is within range and your network is password protected for a smooth update process.
 

Option 2:  Built-In Wi-Fi Hotspot

If your vehicle is equipped, utilize its built-in Wi-Fi Hotspot to conveniently download Over-the-Air updates, keeping your system effortlessly up to date.

1. Connect your vehicle to an available, secure Wi-Fi network
2. Select Menu on your INFINITI InTouch® System screen.
3. Press Information
4. Navigate to System Information
5. Choose Software Update
6. Under Update Method, confirm that the screen says “Auto”
 

When automatic updates are enabled, your INFINITI InTouch® system will check for updates whenever connected to Wi-Fi, presenting a simple popup message to accept new updates with one touch.

For most INFINITI InTouch® systems:
 

1. Connect your vehicle to an available Wi-Fi network
2. From your INFINITI InTouch® System screen, press Menu
3. Press Information
4. Navigate to System Information
5. Touch Software Update
6. Touch Start Software Update
7. Touch Check for Updates. If an update is available, please follow the instructions on your screen. If there is no update available, your screen will show a message stating, “This software version is the latest version.”

1. Connect your vehicle to an available Wi-Fi network
2. Push Menu
3. Touch Information
4. Navigate to System Information
5. Select Map Update
6. Choose Update by Wi-Fi
7. Select an area to be updated and touch Start Updating
8. Touch OK after completing the update

The wireless features in your vehicle, including Wireless Apple CarPlay, Over-the-Air Updates, and Wi-Fi Hotspot require use of your in-vehicle modem (if equipped). In order to continue using the features of Apple CarPlay while utilizing other wireless features of your vehicle such as Wi-Fi Hotspot and Over-the-Air Update, please connect your Apple device to the provided USB connection located in your center console.
