Vehicles with Google built-in are vehicles that come with Google Assistant, Google Maps, and more apps available for download on Google Play directly integrated into the vehicle, allowing you to access your favorite apps and services right when you get into the vehicle, without needing to connect your phone.

Vehicles with Google built-in work by connecting your vehicle to your Google Account. Once your vehicle is connected, you can use Google Assistant to control the vehicle's features, such as the climate control, audio system, and navigation. You can also use Google Maps for navigation and traffic information, and Google Play to download and install apps (data connection required).

For INFINITI vehicles equipped with both Google built-in and Head-Up display, key information including navigation directions, current speed and detected speed limit can display directly onto the vehicles windshield. [[5550]][[5650]]

To use remote vehicle functions in the MyINFINITI app on vehicles with Google built-in, each user must sign-in to their user profile in the vehicle’s touchscreen display using their unique INFINITI InTouch Services credentials. Each driver and up to four Additional Drivers can download the MyINFINITI app and set up their own login credentials. INFINITI InTouch Services, INFINITI ID and MyINFINITI app login credentials are all the same username and password.

For vehicles that are not equipped with Google built-in, remote functions of the app do not require any in-vehicle logins.

Google Assistant is an in-vehicle hands-free control of the infotainment, navigation, media communications and vehicle cabin settings using just your voice. Easily connect to and control compatible smart home devices while in the vehicle for peace of mind and convenience. Keep in touch and stay updated on incoming messages and calls and quickly reply – without touching your phone. Even without a connection, Google Assistant can still help with vehicle controls, entertainment, and more.

Continuously updated from a host of sources, Google Maps provides highly accurate navigation with turn-by-turn and lane specific guidance. Google Maps provides real-time guidance that changes depending on weather or traffic conditions and allows maps to be downloaded for offline coverage. With billions of Points of Interest (POIs), Google Maps helps users find what’s relevant in the moment and provides detailed information about POIs like reviews, hours, etc.

With Google Play, you can easily download your favorite apps on your car just as you would on your phone. Conveniently listen to your favorite music, podcasts, audiobooks, and more directly from your car. 

Android Auto requires a user to connect an Android ™ phone to a compatible vehicle, relying on the phone to power the functionality. Vehicles with Google built-in integrate Google apps and services directly into the car display, providing a more helpful driving experience, allowing drivers to control their vehicle settings and more with just their voice.

No, you can either use Android Auto or Google built-in, but not simultaneously.

For newer vehicles equipped with Google built-in, users will not receive any connected services or remote functions in the MyINFINITI app, such as remote start/stop, lock/unlock, or alerts.

Users who are not logged into their Google Account on their vehicle will still be able to use Google Assistant for basic voice commands and Google Maps for navigation, but they will not have the ability to save places or set home/work locations. Any locations used in Google Maps will be erased when the vehicle is turned off. These users will not be able to access more third-party apps that are available for download on Google Play.

In the vehicle, the user should switch to Guest mode. Once in Guest mode, the user should navigate to Settings > Users > Guest Profile. Then log in to the owner’s INFINITI InTouch Services account (while still in Guest mode). Check to ensure INFINITI InTouch Services is activated and then have the Owner open their MyINFINITI App. Within the app, click Vehicle (button on lower navi bar) > Vehicle Profile > Remote Data wipe. Follow prompts on head unit to complete the process.

Note: This will reset the head unit to factory settings including all radio presets, profiles, accounts linked in the head unit, etc.

Google built-in is included with the purchase of selected model years 2025 or later. To view which vehicles are equipped with Google built-in, please visit infinitiusa.com. As new INFINITI vehicles are equipped with Google built-in, INFINITI will announce the availability. If the vehicle is equipped, Google built-in is included in INFINITI InTouch Services Premium or ProPILOT Assist 2.1 package, which includes a 5-year trial on newly purchased vehicles. iPhone and Android™ phones can be used to connect to vehicles with Google built-in. For a personal experience, it is recommended signing into a Google Account.

1. Log in to INFINITI InTouch in the vehicle on the touchscreen display.
2. Type in your INFINITI InTouch credentials. These are the same credentials used to log in to the MyINFINITI app.
3. Tap the “Login” button when complete. Do NOT press the “Next” button or your information will be deleted, and you’ll need to complete this step again.
4. When the login is successful, you’ll see a confirmation message appear on the screen, and a green checkmark will appear next to “Customize your profile” screen.
   Note: Remote functions of the MyINFINITI app will not work unless this step is completed.
5. Next you can login to Google Account to receive personalized Google Maps and Google Assistant recommendations.
   

You do not need a Google Account for Google built-in features to work. However, if you do have a Google Account and login to the vehicle’s touchscreen, you will receive additional benefits such as personalization, saved destinations and search history, as well as personalized Google Assistant recommendations. The Google Play store requires a Google Account and additional data to download apps.
