Remote Engine Start/Stop with Climate Control

On INFINITI vehicles equipped with Remote Engine Start/Stop with Climate Control, you can login to the MyINFINITI app to pre-heat or cool your vehicle to your exact preferred cabin temperature. Remotely start your vehicle so it's comfortable before you step in.

You can use the MyINFINITI app on your compatible smartphone to remotely start your car. [[5550]] [[5502]]

Remote start instructions

Take the following steps to use the INFINITI remote engine start system with app on your phone:

Open the MyINFINITI app

Press the "Start/Stop" button for a few seconds to start your INFINITI remotely

If the command was successful, you will see a timer pop up to indicate the time remaining until the engine shuts off automatically.

Depending on the vehicle type, after one or two Remote Engine Start commands from the MyINFINITI App or Owner Portal, or if you have not started your vehicle's engine in the last 14 days, you will need to start your engine with the INFINITI Intelligent Key before sending additional Remote Engine Start commands.

Vehicle condition requirements

The following conditions must be met for your vehicle to be started remotely:

Vehicle doors must be closed and locked

Hood must be closed

Windows up

Transmission must be in 'Park'

INFINITI Intelligent key must be outside of the vehicle

Brake pedal cannot be depressed

How long does remote start stay on?

Once Remote Engine Start is activated, your INFINITI vehicle will run for 10-20 minutes, depending on vehicle model. If you haven’t entered the vehicle with a key by the time that period lapses, your engine will shut down automatically.

If your vehicle fails to start following a remote command, you’ll be notified by the push notification preference you set on the MyINFINITI app or MyINFINITI Owner Portal.

Extend your remote start time

On select models, you can extend your INFINITI remote start once by 10 extra minutes before it turns itself off. On the MyINFINITI app, just press the "start" button again within the initial 10 minutes.

Yes, you can cancel a Remote Engine Start command once the engine has started. To send a cancel command, simply open the INFINITI InTouch Services app or Owner Portal to send a Remote Engine Start command. [[5502]]

Will I be notified if my Remote Engine Start/Stop command is successful or unsuccessful?

You can be notified of the success or failure of Remote commands if you have downloaded the MyINFINITI app and have enabled push notifications. You will also be shown the status of the command within the mobile app. If you have not started your vehicle's engine in the last 14 days, you will need to start your engine with the INFINITI Intelligent key before your vehicle will initiate Remote Engine Start/Stop commands.

Are there any regulations I need to be aware of before using Remote Engine Start/Stop?

Remote Engine Start/Stop may be subject to state or local regulations governing engine idling or noise in the location of your vehicle. It is your responsibility to use Remote Engine Start/Stop safely and legally. Never leave the engine idling in the garage or other enclosed area. [[5502]]
