  1. What features does Bluetooth offer in my vehicle?

    Once you pair an INFINITI-recommended Bluetooth cellular phone to the vehicle, the following features are available: 

    Hands-free mobile phone operation with a built-in microphone and utilization of the audio speaker 
    Ability to switch between a hands-free call and a private call 
    Vehicle-based phonebook 
    Voice commands and verbal feedback prompts 
    Choice of different ring tones 

    You can obtain information on how to operate the features of the system in either your vehicle owner's manual or the Quick Reference Guide. 

  2. What do I do if I am having trouble text messaging?

    Not able to text? These tips can help you get and send text messages, if your system is so equipped.

    Keep the interior of your vehicle as quiet as possible (e.g., close windows and direct air vents away from the roof and your face).
    Speak the voice commands in the correct format and sequence provided in your vehicle owner's manual or select "HELP" for a list of available commands.
    Wait for the tone and begin speaking within 5 seconds.
    Speak in a natural voice and without pausing between words.
    To display text messages, make sure your vehicle is traveling less than 5 MPH.
    If you're still having trouble, check your vehicle owner's manual for more information.   

  3. What do I do if the system keeps using the wrong number or name?

    System pulling the wrong contact name or phone number? These tips can help you call the right person at the right time, if your system is so equipped.
    Keep the interior of your vehicle as quiet as possible (e.g., close windows and direct air vents away from the roof and your face). Speak the voice commands in the correct format and sequence provided in your vehicle owner's manual or select "HELP" for a list of available commands. Wait for the tone and begin speaking within 5 seconds. Speak in a natural voice and without pausing between words. Make sure the contact's first and last name is stored in your vehicle's phonebook. If your system requires it, speak the last name first, then the first name (e.g., Michael Smith spoken as 'Smith, Michael'). Use single digits when speaking phone numbers (e.g., five hundred spoken as five zero zero). If you're still having trouble, check your vehicle owner's manual for more information.

  4. What do I do if I'm having trouble with voice commands?

    System not recognizing your commands? These tips might help it do as you say, if your system is so equipped.

    Speak the voice commands in the correct format and sequence provided in your vehicle owner's manual or select "HELP" for a list of available commands.
    Speak the commands clearly and at a normal pace.
    Wait for the beep before speaking a command.
    Follow the voice feedback that will be provided by the system.
    Make sure the noise inside your vehicle is kept to a minimum (e.g., turn off radio, air conditioning).
    Use the "HELP" voice command if you are not sure what to say.
    Check your vehicle owner's manual for voice adaption training to teach your system how to learn your voice, if your system is so equipped.

  5. How do I get started with voice recognition?

    Here are some tips for getting started with voice recognition:

    Keep the interior of your vehicle as quiet as possible (e.g., close windows and direct air vents away from the roof and your face).
    Speak the voice commands in the correct format and sequence provided in your vehicle owner's manual or select "HELP" for a list of available commands.
    Wait for the tone and begin speaking within 5 seconds.
    Speak in a natural voice and without pausing between words.
