Vehicles with Google built-in work by connecting your vehicle to your Google Account. Once your vehicle is connected, you can use Google Assistant to control the vehicle's features, such as the climate control, audio system, and navigation. You can also use Google Maps for navigation and traffic information, and Google Play to download and install apps (data connection required).

To use remote vehicle functions in the MyINFINITI app on vehicles with Google built-in, each user must sign-in to their user profile in the vehicle’s touchscreen display using their unique INFINITI InTouch Services credentials. Each driver and up to four Additional Drivers can download the MyINFINITI app and set up their own login credentials. INFINITI InTouch Services, INFINITI ID and MyINFINITI app login credentials are all the same username and password.
 
For vehicles that are not equipped with Google built-in, remote functions of the app do not require any in-vehicle logins.

With Google Play, you can easily download your favorite apps on your car just as you would on your phone. Conveniently listen to your favorite music, podcasts, audiobooks, and more directly from your car.

Android Auto requires a user to connect an Android ™ phone to a compatible vehicle, relying on the phone to power the functionality. Vehicles with Google built-in integrate Google apps and services directly into the car display, providing a more helpful driving experience, allowing drivers to control their vehicle settings and more with just their voice.

Both Google Assistant on Android Auto and Google Built-in offer voice-controlled assistance while driving, but they work differently. Google Assistant on Android Auto requires a connected Android phone (either by bluetooth or usb) and mirrors your phone's interface on the infotainment screen, providing access to your phone's apps and Google Assistant through your phone. Google Built-in, on the other hand, is natively integrated into your vehicle's entertainment system and no phone connection is required. It offers direct access to Google apps and services, including Google Assistant, without relying on your phone.
