Winning Coach Receives $100,000 Toward Chosen Cause
NCAA® coaches are great at coaching, but may not always be so great at fundraising. That's why, for the fifth year in a row, INFINITI helped 48 of the nation's top NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball coaches compete to win $100,000 for their designated charity.
After weeks of voting by fans across the country, the winner was finally announced on March 16, 2015. This year’s winning coach is Matt Painter (Purdue), who received $100,000 toward Smith Family BreaK Thru Fund.
During the entire challenge, a total of $349,000 was donated to the designated charities of all the participating coaches.
Inspired by Action
INFINITI's partnership with the NCAA®, the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC)®, and ESPN is a slam-dunk—both on and off the court.
In addition to launching innovative multimedia campaigns during the NCAA® regular season and throughout March Madness®, INFINITI also sponsors special initiatives —like the INFINITI Coaches’ Charity Challenge—to help NCAA® coaches raise funds and inspire basketball fans to give back to their communities.
In fact, INFINITI donated $721,500 to Coaches vs. Cancer, a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society (ACS) and the NABC. This program empowers coaches, their teams and communities to make a difference in the fight against cancer.
The NCAA® is a membership-led nonprofit association of colleges and universities committed to supporting academic and athletic opportunities for more than 400,000 student-athletes at more than 1,000 member colleges and universities.
