INFINITI has announced it is sponsoring an extraordinary alfresco dinner and drinks experience hosted by Mario Batali and (RED) in partnership with Outstanding in the Field. The evening will see a live performance by Grammy Award-winning band, The Roots.
Presented by INFINITI, The (RED) Supper officially launches EAT (RED) DRINK (RED) SAVE LIVES, a campaign running for the month of June to raise money and awareness for the Global Fund to fight AIDS.
EAT (RED) DRINK (RED) SAVE LIVES is an annual campaign that brings the culinary world to the table to #86AIDS. Every June, to honor the month during which AIDS was discovered, the organization asks restaurants, bars, food trucks and everything in between to make a donation to the Global Fund and create (RED)-inspired menu items and products to rally customers and raise awareness.
With 1,000 guests attending, this VIP event will see 10 of America’s best-known chefs team up in pairs to create (RED) inspired menus. Each chef duo will create a unique four-course menu for 200 guests.
The participating chefs teams are:
David Burke and Josh Capon
April Bloomfield and Joey Campanaro
Elizabeth Falkner and Mark Ladner
Michael Symon and Jonathan Waxman
Michael Schlow and John Besh
Tickets, which cost $295, are available now at Gilt.com/theREDsupper. The event will be held at Pier 26, Hudson River Park, New York, NY on Sunday, May 31 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Following a successful inaugural year in 2014, (RED)’s fundraising culinary campaign – EAT (RED) DRINK (RED) SAVE LIVES – returns bigger and bolder for 2015, tapping chefs, restaurants, food trucks, bars and everyone in between to "turn (RED)" and raise awareness and money for the Global Fund to fight AIDS. The goal of EAT (RED) DRINK (RED) SAVE LIVES is to bring the food world to the table to help #86AIDS.
A variety of EAT (RED) DRINK (RED) SAVE LIVES events and promotions will take place throughout June, from The (RED) Supper, to (RED) dishes and drinks available in restaurants around the world to pop-up food truck parties. Each participating food and drink business will make a donation to the Global Fund to fight AIDS, to support (RED)’s fight for an AIDS free generation.
Chef Ambassadors from across the globe will actively participate in the campaign and include: Mario Batali, Paul Qui, April Bloomfield, Dominique Ansel, Sanjeev Kapoor, Enrique Olvera and more.
