Beginning March 8 on International Women’s Day and continuing throughout the month, “Pave it Forward” will spotlight women-owned businesses and historical landmarks across 14 North American cities in an effort to acknowledge the women who are change-makers in their communities.

Waze users will see highlighted pins on the Waze Map of participating women-owned businesses in their area, while curated historical landmarks will pop up as drivers search for their next destination. Participating cities include Philadelphia, New York City, Washington D.C., Boston, Chicago, Miami, Tampa, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Nashville, Vancouver and Toronto.

“We’re excited that drivers and passengers across North America will be exposed to some of the countless contributions and accomplishments women have made throughout history.

This type of innovative partnership is what drives the National Women’s History Museum and its quest to ensure women’s history is everyone’s history.”
