When Coaches Compete, Charities Win

The 2017 INFINITI Coaches’ Charity Challenge tips-off January 2 and for the seventh straight year, 48 of the top men’s college basketball coaches in the country will be calling on their fans, supporters and alumni to help them give back.

2016 INFINITI Coaches Challenge Winners

Taking part in the 2017 Charity Challenge is last year’s winner Coach John Beilein of the University of Michigan. Beilein donated his $100,000 final prize to The Chad Tough Foundation, which supports research and awareness for a rare form of pediatric brain tumours.

Other past winners involved include Coach Matt Painter of Purdue University, who in 2015 donated his winnings to the Smith Family BReaK Thru Fund, and Coach Thad Matta of The Ohio State University who has won the challenge multiple times in support of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio.

New coaches set to participate in the INFINITI Coaches’ Charity Challenge for the first time are Fran Dunphy of Temple University, Chris Mullin of St. John’s University, Kyle Keller of Stephen F. Austin and Greg Gard of the University of Wisconsin.

Going Head-to-Head for a Cause

Before the 48 coaches of the INFINITI Coaches’ Charity Challenge compete online for charity, 4 of them took to the hardwood for some epic one-on-one battles of their own.
