Infiniti M 4.5 5 128 219
Big step up for 2011 The 2011 M37 is a tremendous upgrade over my 2008. The sensuous exterior, interior quality and ride amaze me. Nice ergonomics improvements; e.g. buttons access. Safety systems are impressive.Pros:- Interior.- Power / improved mileage.- Handling.- Navigation system.- Entertainment system support for iPhone and Bluetooth audio (e.g. a movie on iPad; Pandora on iPhone).Cons:- Smaller rear seat room compared to previous model.- Rear seats not fold.- Fairly large A-pillars.- Inconsistent voice commands.- Lackf options for systems.I would definitely buy this auto again! Really enjoy it. But there are some issues I hope Infiniti will look into. August 31, 2010
Love this car! This car has not disappointed. I love the way it looks, drives, interior design is exquisite. The only issue is the voice recognition. It doesn't pick upon certain sounds very well, which can be frustrating when trying to find a loction while driving. Overall though a fantastic car. August 30, 2010
I love everything about this car!!! Before this, I drove a 2006 Infiniti M35. It was great car, except for a few items that I wished were better... wanted more comfortable seats, less outside noise, a smoother ride, and better response upon acceleration...Well, Infiniti must have read my mind...They fixed all of those, and more in the 2011 Infiniti 37X... and WOW, I love the styling and contour improvements!! Better Gas Mileage!!! I have owned and driven manyInfinitis including the J30, Q45, Qx4, G35, and Q56 (a total of 10 Infinitis). My favorite was the Q45. I purchased my M35 after my 3rd Q45 was totaled. I liked the M because of its technology including the sound system and navigation. BUT, it's not exciting to drive- no pick up with the V6. The tires were awful as I experienced a flat about every 2 weeks and I replaced the 4 tires at 17,000 miles. The upholstery was treated with an anti-stain procedure (for extra money) but it has become discolored and the leather has worn off on an edge of the driver's seat. BUT, the absolute worst part about the car is the gas mileage-Infiniti needs to get on the ball and produce a car with better gas mileage. August 30, 2010
If you look at the car as a whole, Infiniti did a really nice job with the M Series. It is a great value for the money. The AWD was fantastic during the snowstorms of of 2009 and 2010.The build quality is first rate. There have been no service issues. March 17, 2010
Not enough luxury; not enough "ooomph" This car appears to be a "tweener." Too firm/harsh a ride for a true luxury car. Not enough get up and go for a sports sedan. Don't consider the M series unless you can afford the 8 cyl version - I wish I had!!Interior design attractive and controls are utilitarian. Voice activated controls, i.e. navigation do a poor job of recognizing names of streets. Bose sound system is very good.Adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning work as advertised, but are of marginal utility.Value is marginal -- First cost is comparatively high, reliability and on-going maintenance costs appear to be reasonable.Exterior design is too plain -- just another Japanese import. No owner "differentiation." February 17, 2010
Very fun to drive. If you like high speed or mountain driving this car performs. I can power around turns in the rain and can't get it into a slide. I always feel in control. The steering is top notch. It's 4.5 years old and not a single raddle or problem. The only problem is now I take so much for granted. I hope I can always drive a car this nice. The dash has all controls up high with buttons you can find and press. This is important when driving at high speeds. Other cars have little tiny buttons down low.Wish list: at low speed accelerator is heavy and car lurches, trunk does not close as easily as it should, and (like all cars) more storage and organizing for all my cards, coins, papers and stuff. "the drive put it in our garage." My wife and I purchased our M35 in Nov. '09 after some comparative shopping. Class, power, fit and finish, safety features, and bang for the buck! The reviews by Consumer Reports regarding the Infiniti M35 put it on our list to drive... the drive put it in our garage. We do think that the "source" toggle on the steering wheel could be smaller (due to occasional bumping when turning) and we would like to see a little more exterior styling character, but that is all of the complaints you will hear from us. One fantastic automobile This is my second Infiniti and I have been more than pleased with both (I30t and M35x). The M35x is an exquisite piece of machinery: performance, fit & finish, design and reliability are superb. With almost 80k miles, I had have only 1 unscheduled service visit and that was an Infiniti recall (heater fan control). 4 adults can ride for miles without any discomfort, and the all wheel drive works great in the snowy western Michigan winters. If I had any suggestions or wishes, it would be for longer tire life. It seems that 40,000 miles is tops. Otherwise, the M35x is a beautiful and excellent car to own and drive. Yes, I would buy another Infiniti and have recommended them to many friends. February 8, 2010
In a class by itself I have owned my M35 Sport over 2 years. I love it. I have only attempted to trade because of the color black. It is hard to keep clean in the desert over in Arizona. However, due to declining car values, I am way upside down. I have decided to keep it. I'm getting a second vehicle and keep this one garaged. It was the last of the body styles. New change in 2008. Don't really care for the new style. So, Me and my M35 will be together for a while. I have only 15K miles on it. It commands attention. Very classy and sporty looking vehicle. Very satisfied owner thus far. February 7, 2010
