Intelligent All-Wheel Drive
Intelligent All-Wheel Drive
1:22 Demonstration Video
(2011 Infiniti M shown)
Infiniti's Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD) provides power where and when you need it, instantly adapting to changing conditions. By constantly monitoring wheelspin, throttle position and vehicle speed, this system automatically diverts up to 50% of the available power to the front wheels, enhancing traction and control in adverse conditions. When all-wheel drive is not needed, the system sends 100% of the power to the rear wheels for more responsive road performance.
Intelligent Brake Assist

Using the system's laser range finder, Forward Collision Warning (FCW)[*] helps alert the driver of a potential collision by providing a visual and audible warning. If the driver doesn't respond, and a collision cannot be avoided, Intelligent Brake Assist (IBA)[*] automatically engages the brakes to help reduce collision speed and impact, helping to mitigate the consequences of the accident.
Distance Control

Infiniti has transformed the way you interact with traffic and Distance Control Technologies help you move with the flow. When activated, Intelligent Cruise Control (Full-Speed Range)[*] provides the benefits of cruise control with the options of adding speed and distance intervals. In slowing traffic, Intelligent Cruise Control (Full-Speed Range) provides the added advantage of slowing your vehicle as traffic slows, helping you maintain distance—then reaccelerates to your pre-set speed and distance as traffic flow picks up. While industry-first Distance Control Assist[*] intuitively helps the driver release the throttle and can even apply the brakes in slowing traffic.
Around View® Monitor with Moving Object Detection

(2013 Infiniti JX shown)
Infiniti introduced the world’s first Around View® Monitor[*], delivering advanced yet intuitive technology, helping to make parking easier. Four cameras positioned around the vehicle give you a virtual 360° bird's eye view on your display. Infiniti has now enhanced the system with Moving Object Detection[*] — alerting the driver to moving objects. Offering a new perspective of the world around you, the FX helps you navigate even the tightest spaces.
Lane Departure
1:00 Demonstration Video
(2008 Infiniti EX shown)
Lane Departure Prevention [*] (LDP) helps keep you vehicle from unintentionally drifting from your lane. The available system utilizes a camera to monitor the distance between the vehicle and the lane markings, and when the vehicle drifts unintentionally towards the lane markers, the system first sounds an audible warning. Then it will lightly apply selected brakes to help ease your vehicle back into its lane.
Enhanced Control
1:38 Demonstration Video
(2008 Infiniti G Coupe shown)
To help enhance rear-wheel grip when accelerating, the Traction Control System senses wheel spin and automatically reduces engine output and/or brakes the spinning wheel to help give you surer foothold. Acting in tandem with the Traction Control System, Vehicle Dynamic Control[*](VDC) compares actual vehicle cornering performance to the driver's input, adjusting power levels and applying appropriate brake pressure to individual wheels to help correct oversteer or understeer, helping keep the vehicle on the steered path.
