Around View® Monitor

Much more than a rear camera, the Around View™ Monitor (standard on FX50) uses four exterior cameras on every side to give a virtual 360-degree view. This bird's-eye perspective is displayed on your in-dash monitor to help you sell around your FX. If you get too close to an object, you'll see a warning on the screen and an audible warning will even sound, giving you convenience when parking[*]

Ease-of-use, peace of mind, Infiniti has transformed the way you interact with traffic with distance control technologies that help you move with the flow. When activated, Intelligent Cruise Control (Full-Speed Range)[*] provides the benefits of cruise control with the options of adding speed and distance intervals. In slowing traffic, Intelligent Cruise Control (Full-Speed Range) provides the added advantage of slowing your vehicle as traffic slows, helping you maintain a safe distance then reaccelerates to your pre-set speed and distance as traffic flow picks up. While industry-first Distance Control Assist (DCA)[*] intuitively helps the driver release the throttle and applies the brakes as needed in slowing traffic.

Because you can never be too careful or too cautious on the road, the Infiniti M is the first automobile in the U.S. to provide safety technology designed to help keep a vehicle in its travel lane. It utilizes a camera to monitor the distance between the vehicle and lane markings, and when the vehicle drifts unintentionally towards the lane markers, the system first sounds an audible warning. Then it will apply brakes to certain wheels to help move the vehicle back into its lane[*].
Intelligent All-Wheel Drive

Infiniti's Intelligent All-Wheel Drive provides power and support where and when you need it, instantly adapting to the changing conditions of the road. By constantly monitoring wheelspin, throttle position and vehicle speed, this system automatically diverts up to 50% of the available power to the front wheels, enhancing traction and control when conditions are less than optimal. When all-wheel drive is not needed, the system sends 100% of the power to the rear wheels for more responsive road performance.
Intelligent Brake Assist with Forward Collision Warning

Using the system's laser range finder, Forward Collision Warning helps alert the driver of a potential collision by providing a visual and audible warning. If the driver doesn't respond, and a collision cannot be avoided, Intelligent Brake Assist automatically engages the brakes to help reduce collision speed and impact, helping to mitigate the consequences of the accident[*].

Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC)[*] helps correct oversteer or understeer by applying brake pressure to individual wheels and adjusting the engine's power output. The Traction Control System (TCS) helps enhance rear-wheel grip when accelerating by sensing wheelspin and automatically reducing engine output and/or braking the spinning wheel. VDC and TCS technologies are standard on all models.

An indicator light illuminates if the presence of another vehicle is detected in the blind spot area. If the driver engages the turn signal, the indicator flashes and an audible warning sounds.
